Richard Stewart, Penny Wall and Richard Sheffield – partners in Common Thread Entertainment. Producing a slate of feature film and television projects for the international market.
Richard Stewart plays a significant role in the Australian and New Zealand Film industry, and has for over 25 years, producing and executive producing some 18 features films and television programs.
During his extensive film industry history, Richard credits include; 1st Executive Director, Queensland Film Commission (now Screen Queensland): 1st Chair, Brisbane International Film Festival: 1st Director, Asia Pacific for the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI) – controlling body of Film Commissions; and CEO of the New Zealand Film Commission.
Since entry to the industry via fine arts, theatre and corporate commercials Penny Wall has amassed wide-ranging production experience within the Australian Film and Television industry with substantial Producer credits across a number of feature and television programmes.
Penny was an inaugural Board member of QPIX film resource centre and has consulted for indigenous and assorted film organisations and universities. Penny has also been honoured by the Australian Cinematography Society for Services to the film industry.
Richard Sheffield involvement in feature film distribution, acquisitions, sales and major film markets spans 30+ years, and includes Producer and Executive Producer credits on feature projects within Australia and New Zealand. Richard was General Manager – New Zealand and South Pacific, for United Artists: General Sales Manager for Greater Union Film Distributors: Founding Partner – Richard Entertainment Partners (REP) a division of the Becker Group of companies: and Managing Director – Australia and New Zealand, Polygram Filmed Entertainment.
Annelies Bekes is a screenwriter, script editor and assessor with international exposure. While in the UK, she provided script consultancy for companies including Carnival, Eleven Films and MBA Literary Agents. Annelies was also selected for the prestigious Edinburgh Film Festival lab. Her first feature (Action) has been purchased by London-based February Films and is slated for production in 2018. Since establishing herself in the film industry in Australia, Annelies has consulted for several Australian production companies and has been commissioned to write a drama feature.
Annelies works as Script Consultant and Development Executive for CT Entertainment, and is presently working on a Comedy/Drama Series she created and is intended as an international co-production with CTE.
John Baca, has been involved in the world of independent feature film finance, international sales and distribution for 20 years and is highly unique in that his company also acts as a manager for several international media companies which helps to complement his production activities. John is one of the more dynamic and innovative producers in the entertainment business with significant relationships all around the world with producers, financiers, distributors, sales agents, and is able to capitalize on his first-hand knowledge of what buyers are looking for, the qualitative and quantitative value of product, and his extensive relationships with the worldwide film community to acquire, develop, produce, arrange and oversee financing, sales and distribution.

James Lingwood has produced and directed over 200 hours of international film and television programs including Australian children’s series The Curiosity Show. awarded Gold Medal – Prix Jeunesse International, Munich, best children’s program; acclaimed documentaries The Voyage Of The Great Southern Ark; and From The Dragon’s Mouth. Heading – Great Southern Ark Productions, Australia and India, and currently working on feature documentary, Father Joe & the Bangkok Slaughterhouse, and international feature films. James is a member of the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers, USA; the Australian Directors Guild; and an Executive Member of the National Chinese Documentary Film Academy.
Post Production Supervisor
Bob is one of Australia’s most experienced and accomplished post production specialists, working as editor, director/editor, producer/editor and post production supervisor on more than 350 television documentaries, lifestyle series and drama productions. Bob was editor and supervising editor on all of the Steve Irwin Crocodile Hunter Series and spin off programmes. Bob edited numerous internationally acclaimed television and cinema commercials and is an inductee into the Advertising and Design Club’s Hall of Fame. He has been awarded by the Queensland Government and the Australian Cinematography Society for services to the screen industry.
