Originally formed in 2002 under the Stewart & Wall Entertainment banner when Richard Stewart, ex CEO of Film Queensland, Australia, and Director of the New Zealand Film Commission, joined forces with independent Australian film Producer, Penny Wall to specialise in the production of quality international film and television product. In 2013 Richard Sheffield joined the SWE team bringing extensive distribution and marketing expertise to the Company composition.
Select credits across the Company slate have included Executive Producer for such films as Bait3D starring Xavier Samuel; Producing Acolytes starring Joel Edgerton and Bella Heathcoat [Official Selection 2008 Midnight Madness, Toronto; Best Horror Film, 2008 Austin Fantastic Festival; In Competition Screamfest, 2008; Official Selection Melbourne Film Festival, 2008; Official Selection Stiges 2008; In Competition Pusan, 2008]: K9 the children’s long form television series based on the famous and much loved character created by Bob Baker (Wallace and Gromit fame) and featured throughout the Dr Who Series in the U K; an animated feature trilogy under the banner of Planet Rescue Rangers; the Documentary, The Tragedy of the Montevideo Maru; in addition Richard Sheffield has distributed such films as Notting Hill; Mr Bean; Once Were Warriors; in Australia for Polygram Filmed Entertainment as well as securing Four Weddings and a Funeral for REP Film Distribution during his illustrious career.
CTE also act as a service management company, undertaking international productions coming into Australia.
Penny Wall
CEO - PRODUCER
Since entry to the industry via fine arts, theatre and corporate commercials Penny Wall has amassed wide-ranging production experience within the Australian Film and Television industry with substantial Producer credits across a number of feature and television programmes.
Penny was an inaugural Board member of QPIX film resource centre and has consulted for indigenous and assorted film organisations and universities. Penny has also been honoured by the Australian Cinematography Society for Services to the film industry.
Richard Stewart
PRODUCER
Richard Stewart plays a significant role in the Australian and New Zealand Film industry, and has for over 25 years, producing and executive producing some 18 features films and television programs.
During his extensive film industry history, Richard credits include; 1st Executive Director, Queensland Film Commission (now Screen Queensland): 1st Chair, Brisbane International Film Festival: 1st Director, Asia Pacific for the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI) – controlling body of Film Commissions; and CEO of the New Zealand Film Commission.

Richard Sheffield involvement in feature film distribution, acquisitions, sales and major film markets spans 30+ years, and includes Producer and Executive Producer credits on feature projects within Australia and New Zealand. Richard was General Manager – New Zealand and South Pacific, for United Artists: General Sales Manager for Greater Union Film Distributors: Founding Partner – Richard Entertainment Partners (REP) a division of the Becker Group of companies: and Managing Director – Australia and New Zealand, Polygram Filmed Entertainment.
